TELUS Ventures chairman François Côté oversees investment strategy development and implementation and value creation for TELUS. François has held a number of management positions over his almost 30 years’ career. In 2004, he was appointed president and CEO of Emergis. Following TELUS’ acquisition of Emergis in January 2008, he was appointed president of TELUS Québec, TELUS Health, and TELUS Ventures. He has served on the boards of the Montreal Heart Institute, Lumenpulse Inc., and EXFO since January 2015. In June 2013, he was named Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Canadian Force’s 34th Signal Regiment.
Mr. Larente is the President of the Corporation. Mr. Larente has previously held leading management positions with companies such as Siemens, Syscan International, Newbridge Networks, Legent, Cognos, Tandem Computers and Honeywell Information Systems.
Mr. Hébert brings a wealth of experience in governance of public and private companies. He was a director at the Laurentian Bank, where he served for twenty years as a member of the Audit committee. He was also a director of Vitran Corp for seven years, where he served as a member of the Audit committee and chairman of the Compensation committee. He is currently president of Prosys-Tec Inc. and a director of Cubeler Inc., a private Fintech company.
Mr. Bellido has spent his career overseeing and leading the development of several organizations in the healthcare industry. He brings sound financial management expertise, deep operating and leadership experience, and a global business perspective that he acquired over 30 years of international experience in the Biosciences, Healthcare and Financial industries. Notably, Mr. Bellido managed a CA$300M life science investment Fund (SGF-Santé) that produced several key players in the Medical Device industry.
Dr. Maclellan is currently an Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital and Chief Operating Officer of StHealth Capital Partners. His primary area of investigation is focused on vascular anomalies, a group of disorders that affect arteries, capillaries, lymphatics, or veins. Dr. Maclellan frequently lectures internationally and speaks at conferences for the American College of Surgeons, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies.
Dr. Maclellan currently serves on the board of directors for five organizations, including both for-profit and not-for-profit. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Nanotronics, a privately-held artificial intelligence pioneer. Dr. Maclellan received his MD diploma from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He then completed a general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and a plastic surgery research fellowship and clinical fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maclellan also holds a Master in Medical Sciences degree in translational research from Harvard Medical School.
