Text Mining
Text mining tools extract knowledge from text files. Previous attempts at text mining used keywords and frequency counts to glean information from text. Today's methods are much more sophisticated. DIAGNOS provides solutions based on a method that uses Artificial Neural Networks and decision trees to extract semantic ("meaning") information from the text. This information may then be used to summarize texts or to create concept-based searches, or even semantic text based navigation.
IMAGE MINING
Image mining is based on the theoretical foundations of image and video processing. The purpose of image mining is to furnish a representation based on numeric characteristics of an image set on which we apply generic learning algorithms developed by DIAGNOS. These characteristics may be used for Statistical Modeling, Data Mining and Pattern Recognition, Software Engineering and Sensor Design.
