Management at Diagnos Inc. have claimed 23 properties in the greater Abitibi region that have been highlighted by CARDS to contain significant mineralization. The properties are in NTS map regions 32E, 32D and 32G. All three regions have excellent potential for the discovery of a significant ore body and are extremely active with exploration and mining.

NTS region 32D includes: the Rouyn-Noranda, Malartic and Hunter mining districts. The Rouyn-Noranda district is perhaps the most significant district in the Abitibi in terms of cumulative Cu, Ag and Au ore tonnage with over 132 million tons of cumulative ore. Rouyn-Noranda also has the highest average Gold grade in the entire Abitibi (4.16 g/t). Despite the advanced level of mining development in the Rouyn-Noranda District, the potential for discovery of a significant deposit at depth or of a smaller high grade deposit distal to the main mineralization zone is high. The Malartic region is characterized by low grade, high tonnage Porphyry Gold style mineralization and has seen significant exploration over the last few years. The Hunter district, characterized by significant Copper grades (1.5%) as well as minor Ag is less developed and has seen significantly less exploration activity than other districts. Although mined modestly in the past this region has excellent potential for the discovery of a significant ore body both at depth and distal to regions of known economic mineralization.

Rich in Zn and Ag, NTS region 32E includes: the Normétal, Joutel-Raymond, Brouillan and Phelps-Dodge mining districts. The Normétal district is small geographically (less than 1/3 the area of Rouyn-Noranda) and has only 4 deposits of known tonnage. Furthermore, the district is rich in Cu and Zn with minor Au and Ag and is host to 4 deposits of known tonnage, including the now closed, 10 million tone Cu-Zn-Ag Normétal Mine. Excellent potential remains however, for the discovery of small but high grade deposits, for example: three deposits, proximal to the Normétal mine site have been discovered, with average ore grades of 12.06% Zn and 39% Ag and minor Au and Cu. Similarly, The Joutel-Raymond, Phelps Dodge and Brouillan districts are characterized by high Ag and Zn values and low economic grades of Cu and Au as well. In all 4 districts, there remains an excellent potential for the discovery of significant economic mineralization, particularly since these districts have seen markedly less development than other districts.
Recent Mining Activity: (approximate values)
Recent exploration and mining results (2005-2006):

NTS Region 32G includes the Chapais and Chibougamau mining districts. The Chapais district is extremely rich in copper, having the highest average ore grade in the Abitibi (2.25% Cu); with lesser Gold as well. The district is small geographically. However (less than ¼ the area of Normétal), and has only 5 deposits of known tonnage. The Chibougamau district moreover, is extremely rich mineralogically and can be subdivided into two distinct geological regions. Chibougamau 1 is characterized by VMS style mineralization and high average ore grades (7.00% Zn, 2.21% Cu, 49 g/t Ag and 1.83 g/t Au) but significantly lower tonnage than Chibougamau 2 (the second most significant region in the abitibi by total ore tonnage). Chibougamau 2, characterized by Porphyry/Chibougamau copper vien style mineralization, is rich in gold and copper with minor silver as well (average ore grade, 1.80% Cu and 2.08g/t Au). Despite the advanced level of mining development in the Chibougamau district, the potential for the discovery of a significant deposit at depth or distal to the main mineralization zone is very high.
