DIAGNOS has assembled a multidisciplinary team with expertise in artificial intelligence, mathematics, imaging, remote sensing and geology. This combined expertise uses DIAGNOS’ Artificial Intelligence software capable of analyzing hundreds of variables within millions of data points.


André Larente

André Larente
President

Mr Larente has been active in the information technology sector for more than 26 years. He has previously held leading management positions with companies such as Siemens, Syscan International, Newbridge Networks, Legent Corporation, Cognos, Tandem Computers and Honeywell Information Systems. His extensive business contacts and experience in the information technology sector, have enabled him to position DIAGNOS for rapid growth.

Houssem Ben Tahar

Vice-President - Development and Business Intelligence

Mr Ben Tahar holds the position of Vice-President - Development and Business Intelligence at DIAGNOS. Holding a diploma in Statistics Engineering (INSEA Rabat), Master of Applied Economics and Master of Business Intelligence, he has worked with a wide range of Data Mining tools. His educational background has provided him with a broad expertise in decisional computer science as well as multiple BI Software. Moreover, he participated to numerous large-scale consultation mandates. He was the president of the consulting service of HEC Montreal. Mr Ben Tahar provides simple business solutions to daily managers’ problems enabling them to rapidly react and to optimize their resources.

Michel Fontaine

Vice-President - Business Development

Mr Fontaine joined the team in January 2005 as Vice-President - Business Development. Previously, Mr Fontaine held a position of Vice-President within a firm specialized in Forex (Foreign Exchange). Before working as a broker at a major Canadian securities firm, he worked in the mining sector in Vancouver.  His broad experience in the financial and mining industries provide the background for directing business development at DIAGNOS.

Peter Nowacki
Vice-President - Health

Mr Nowacki joined DIAGNOS in May 2009. Mr Nowacki has more than 15 years of experience in both small and large organizations and his cross-disciplinary experience in healthcare and technology brings added value to the management team.  Mr Nowacki worked on many cross-functional projects such as the creation and management of a clinical database and knowledge mining platform at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and the creation of a high-performance information technology team and department in a biotech company.  He has also played a strategic role in a $1.6Bn healthcare IT investment organization put in place by the Federal Government and Health Canada for the creation of electronic health records for all Canadians.  Mr Nowacki holds a Master’s degree with Dean’s Honours in Bio-Informatics from McGill University, and an Executive MBA from Queen’s University. He is the author of 13 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Yvan  Michon

Major Initiatives / Relationship Partner

Mr Michon is a proven Executive/General Manager with experience in the Technical, IT, executive recruitment and outsourcing industry. Over the last 25 years, he has been responsible for the successful establishment, development and management of five major initiatives throughout North America for his own solely owned company and for major Canadian and US based corporations. He has participated in the general management and successful expansion of these multi-disciplined businesses from an initial start up to establishing them as market leaders in their respective verticals. Mr Michon joined DIAGNOS in 2007.

Marc-André Massue

Marc-André Massue, CA

Vice-President - Finance

Mr Massue joined the team in May 2008. He has more than 15 years of financial and human resources management experience, acquired mainly with technology companies. Mr Massue’s main responsibilities include the preparation of the annual and quarterly reports, the preparation of investment tax credits claims and the development and monitoring of internal management policies. Mr Massue received a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) from HEC Montréal, and a Diploma in Economics from the Université de Montréal. Mr  Massue is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Accountants.

Lyne Lachapelle

Manager - Administration

Ms Lachapelle joined DIAGNOS in 2004 and holds the position of Manager – Administration. She is responsible for the administration of the Corporation. Before joining DIAGNOS, Ms Lachapelle worked for more than 20 years within several small and medium-sized companies, which gave her vast experience in the field of management and accounting.

Riadh Kobbi, Eng. Statistics (INSEA Rabat), M.Sc.
Manager - Data Modeling

Mr Kobbi holds the position of Business Intelligence Specialist at DIAGNOS. Holding a diploma in Statistics Engineering (INSEA Rabat), Mr Kobbi benefited from a long and rich experience in management, analysis and exploitation of data from different sources (employment surveys, demographic surveys, satisfaction surveys, population census, administrative data, etc). His Master Business Intelligence improved his abilities to use a wide range of Data Mining tools in order to discover hidden and precious information from data. His rich and varied experience provided him a great capacity to understand problems and propose efficient solutions to help management.

Jihed Chelbi
Business Intelligence Specialist

Mr Chelbi has a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Jendouba (Tunisia). He acquired a Business Intelligence backround at HEC of Montreal. His education, combining information technologies and data analysis with management applications, and his professional experience, as consultant and teacher of management sciences courses and as research assistant in the Entrepreneurship Chair at HEC of Montreal, enabled him to master the combination of databases technologies, data warehousing, data mining and decision support systems. Mr Chelbi holds the position of Business Intelligence Specialist at DIAGNOS.

Paul Boivin
Chief architect

Mr Boivin has more than 20 years of experience in the field of software development on both Windows & Unix platforms. Before he joined DIAGNOS, he worked for a few small and medium-size high technology companies as Chief technologist. Today, he holds the position of chief architect and is responsible of the software development.

Bruno Berkovits
Senior Developer

Mr Berkovits occupies a position at DIAGNOS as a senior developer using the Net.platform. Having a Bachelor’s degree as a computer analyst from the University of Dauphine in Paris, he has also acquired in the nuclear field, excellent experience in ongoing projects, mainly at the reprocessing plant in Hague. He also developed a program assignment by using algorithms to help analyse and obtain optimal resources. His competence in the financial domain was obtained at the Montreal Stock Exchange where he worked for 3 years.

Timothée Faucon, Ph.D.
Researcher

Mr Faucon has an engineer degree in electronics and computer sciences from CPE Lyon (France) and a Ph.D. degree in mathematical morphology from École des Mines de Paris (France). He has previously worked in dental and medical imaging field and he also has aquired a strong experience  in seismic images analysis and processing. He is currently applying his expertise in image processing field within medical imaging projects for DIAGNOS.
